ThistleWaithe Learning Center, a Montessori preschool, has opened its doors in South Salem, NY on the site of the former Hayloft Motel. Offering half-day programs for toddlers (ages 18-36 months) and full and half-day programs for children 3-6 years of age, ThistleWaithe inspires children to challenge themselves through creative problem solving, joyful exploration, and building an awareness of the natural environment. In addition to ThistleWaithe’s new classrooms, the school offers extensive outdoor learning opportunities on its six acre campus. Composting, gardening, and the development of nature trails will further enhance the learning experience of all children.
For the past nine years, ThistleWaithe has instilled habits of excellence in the youngest residents of Northern Westchester. Minutes from Ridgefield, the school hopes that its Connecticut neighbors will join in this venture!
